Friday 1pm (Santa Clara) Spintronics with Kevin Roche
It used to be that compact technoloy based on harnessing the quantum spin of the electron was, well, science fiction. Now, however, spintronics forms the basis of several ubiquitous devices. IBM Research Almaden engineer Kevin Roche will introduce you to the fundamentals of this expanding technology, reveal where you can find it already and where to look for it in days to come.

Bring Your Bling!
Neverendingpanel.com is doing a special episode at Westercon on Geek Bling and is asking that you bring in your favorite Bling for us to film, add to our show and present to the world! What exactly is Geek Bling? We have no idea but just like you, we'll know it when we see it!

All entries welcome!

Workshops:

All Workshops are 2 hours long with a capacity of 8 participants. Attendance will be on a first come first serve.
Sign-up sheets will be located at the Information Desk.

Workshops may have requirements such as participants bringing materials for critiquing (see below).

Illustration Workshop (2hrs) with Laura Brodian Freas - bring a drawing pad, and drawing utensils.

Sunday 11:30am
Workshop: Writing, Editing & Critiquing your work (2hrs) with Will Morton - bring along something to critique - preferably less than 7500 words.
have enough copies (8) for everyone and there will be a group critique.
